For the options you can get it seems a little to small. It seems to be able to protect the meter well.
Simpson made in the USA, was not real happy the case was not made in the USA for the cost!
Product FeaturesEasy to use, Durable/Performs well, for the cost would like to have one, made in the usa.

I need help picking a muti-meter

I need a meter that will measure frequency, i.e. up to 65hrz as well as AC & DC amps and voltage. This meter will be used primarily in the diagnosing of portable generator systems and alternators.
Check out the Simpson line of Analog meters. They will preform well and acurate.
