how much vent area is required ?

I am wanting to move 3,500 cfm through an enclosed space, how many square ft of vent area is required to keep static pressure less than 1/4" with in the enclosed space.
Fullofair, What "an enclosed space" are you talking? The static pressure that will have in the area, depend the what fan do you have and how the area is tight, "airtight", but if want a metal round duct for move 3500 cfm and the duct is 100ft length, you will need a 24 inches diameter round metal to move 3500 cfm. This what I usually use, for buy a vent, look the manufacture catalog, because depend the free area of the vent and the shape of the vent. If can't use 24 inches diameter duct, 22 inches could do it with a good friction loss.
