non latex gloves used with coolant.

I am looking for a non latex glove that does not "grow" when used with coolant. I work in a secondaires factory. We do drilling, tapping, lathe and computerized mill work. All machines use coolant and most of the gloves fingers get longer with use. Since most parts are small and picked up with fingers this is a safety issue. Can you help???

Hello Denise,

Degradation is a change in the physical properties of a glove - such as growth and elongation. A degradation rating (not recommended, poor, fair, good or excellent) indicates how well physically a glove will hold up when working with a specific chemical.

In order to help you with selecting a glove that will meet your needs, the first and usually best place to find a recommendation is the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

If a specific glove material is not given on the MSDS then a review of the chemical makeup of the coolant is needed.

We at Grainger have access to the glove manufacturers chemical resistance guides and would be happy to help you determine which glove may best meet your needs.

Please contact your local Grainger Branch for further assistance.

Thank you,

Sally
