Yes, I recommend this product.

Works as advertised. Wish the joint was not quite so tight, but otherwise, no problems. It meets my expectations for Starrett products.
Product FeaturesEasy to use, High Quality, Durable/Performs well

air hammer adaptor

looking for an air hammer adaptor that is a 3/8 extention with a handle to help loosen bolts that are hard to break loose
Try looking for extensions under impact drivers. There are several brands that offer these as part of their impact toll offering. The Grainger catalogue lists sizes from 1-3/4" long to 12" in 3/8" in their impact sockets section. I sugget you use the shortest extension possible for safety's sake.

need a tool for removing flat head one way partition screws

need the name of the tool
In the long run, the most successful method I have found for this task is to drill a hole slightly smaller than the root diameter of the screw into the head of the screw and then use an "easy out." Grainger sells a variety of different styles and sizes - one of them should be appropritae for the task. For very small screws - I just drill out the screw and then use a larger screw to replace it.

helical 5/16-24 size tap

tread repair helical 5/16-24 .what size tap?
If you are asking the correct size tap to use for Helicoil thread repair inserts, each Helicoil size uses a special tap for that size. You cannot use a standard tap to prepare for a Helicoil thread repair insert. The correct taps can be purchased as part of kit for each sizes thread repair insert.

first time working in a refinery what type of tools do i need to purches?

I strongly recommend you check with your supervisor for tool recommendations. There will probably be recommendations or restrictions on the tools that can be used in specific areas. You may find that non-sparking tools will be used extensively on the property.

Looking for a tool to magnetize screwdriver tips

I find that magnetic tipped tools attract a lot of metal shavings that I object to. However, every once in a while we all need a magnetic-tipped tool. For short term applications, just stick a magnet to the shank of the screw driver – it will extend the magnetic field through the screw driver. Simply removing the magnet will return the tool to its original state.
Depending on the steel used in the tool, repeatedly stroking the tool in one direction against a magnet can magnetize the tool. To de-magnetize a tool, just strike it severely against a hard surface such as a vise.
Induction coils can be used to both magnetize and de-magnetize tools on a larger scale or for more permanent results.

in hole saw

No, not a "hole" saw. Tried to google the answer but all I got was picture of hole saw bits.

I need to cut a piece of PVC pipe that is in a hole in the ground. the hole the PVC is in, is a circle with about an 8 inch diameter, surrounded by a metal casing.
potentially something that has a cutting head 90 degrees from the shaft of the tool. It also needs to be battery powered.

got anything like that?
As I understand your situation, you want to cut a piece of PVC pipe that is inside an 8” pipe casing. Since I don’t know the size of the pipe, how deep the pipe is or whether the pipe is running parallel / concentric to the casing or penetrates the casing and runs perpendicular to the casing. I am also assuming that you have already determined that a reciprocating saw (5HXL6) would not work.
Other options include oscillating saws (6CZA7) or rotary / spiral saws (2VRT8). I might also suggest you try a die grinder (5KB19 or 5KB18) with 2-3” cut off wheels (you will need an appropriate arbor to mount the cut-off wheels). Either a 90 degree or straight head version might be appropriate to the task. The pneumatic ones are small enough to fit inside the casing and should be able to get the job done for you.
You should have extra blades on hand because the PVC will melt to the blade necessitating frequent blade changes depending on the size of the pipe. The blades may also sling melted PVC back to your face – wear a face shield!
Grainger does carry all the above options. My first choice would be the oscillating saw.
Good luck!

plug fuse adapter removal tool

i have a adapter in my 60 amp fuse box it has s style adaoter in the for a pecific fuse an its stripped the adapter ,i need the tool to remove the adapter which has a one way spring on it which makes it very difficult to remove with out breaking the socket in the box ant one have this info where to buy the tool
I suspect you are describing a screw-in fuse adapter. Removing the adapter is not possible without risking damage to the original socket. A damaged socket presents the danger of fire.
An electrician can help you determine the proper method of replacing the branch fuse / socket or adding a sub-panel.
Please remember that the fuses are there to protect the house wiring from over current conditions which can cause house fires. Safety First!!!

how do i remove rusted hex nut

First try soaking the nut in penetrating oil and allowing it to soak overnight. If that doesn't work, you may have to cut the nut off. Use a nut splitter like 3ZH05 or 3PCW4. I have also used rotary cut off tools and die grinders. Be sure to chase the treads of the stud afterwards with a die. Use anti-sieze on the stud when you put the new nut on and future removal will be easier.

Do you carry a tool that is placed between to sheaves to assist in tightening a V belt

I recall seeing one that was 2 U shaped pieces, one on each end facing outward with an adjusting threaded rod in between to assist in adjusting tension on a V belt.
I also recall seeing this tool some years ago. I was unable to find it in the Grainger line up, though.
