Magnetic Strip, Nonmagnetic Side Indoor Adhesive, Max. Pull 24 lb., Length 10 ft., Width 2 In., Thickness 0.06 In., Dry Mixture of Ferrite Powder and Rubber Polymer Resin, Stability Temp. -15 Degrees to 160 Degrees F

strength

We have an attic entry way that we want to cover but still have access to. It is a hip wall opening with a corresponding section cut out of the diagonal ceiling. We are hoping to use a light insulated material (cut to the size of the opening) with magnetic strips along the border. The frame of the opening will be faced with metal. We would like to give this 24lb. stripping a try, but we are concerned that it won't be substantial enough especially considering the 0.06 thickness. Please advise.

Thanks!
