Will this work onboard ships and boats?
In land-based applications, these units compare the current going out on the hot wire with the current returning on the neutral. Should an earthing condition ocur, the current returning on the white wire will be less and the breaker will trip. Shipboard wiring has no neutral but half voltage going out on the white and half voltage going out on the black with a hull return. Will this work onboard marine vessels and if so, could you explain why?
